Thrilling drivers for over 60 years
Nissan has been empowering drivers with breathtaking performance and superior capability for more than six decades. That’s because we believe, at our core, that driving is an act of freedom. Of inspiration and even rebellion. How could we not? In moments like those, where everything else is lost to the thrill of gripping the wheel and pressing down on the accelerator – that’s when we feel alive. Excited and incredible. Capable of anything and ready for everything. Join us as we celebrate those moments by celebrating the vehicles that got us here.
Heritage Nissan® Models
That familiar feeling
The storied Nissan lineup has had its share of thrills and then some. Our fast cars, tough trucks and other beloved models have been highway and backroad staples for over half a century. And with our future-focused engineers leading the way, you can count on seeing – and expecting – more from the Nissan badge in the years and decades to come.
1959 – Datsun 1000
Chrome, tailfins and V8s reigned supreme in ‘59, but that didn’t stop Datsun from going to market with this plucky compact truck. Despite a diminutive 1000cc, 37HP engine, it could haul a quarter tonne. And it looked like a million bucks.
1969 – Datsun 240Z
With a twin-carb inline 6-cylinder engine capable of 151HP, the Z made a statement to American and European manufacturers: that when it came to sports cars, Japan was a powerful contender.
1987 – Pathfinder
Pathfinder made Nissan and 4×4 adventuring synonymous. Back in ’87, it came with two doors, a massive tailgate, and a huge appetite – as well as the ability – for getting into those out-of-the-way places.
1988 – Nissan Hardbody
The hard-working, hard-wearing Hardbody trucks put Nissan on the map for utility and value in the small truck market. You can still see them today – both on and off the road.
The Sentra and Micra Cups
Our racing DNA
Canadian racing fans are no strangers to the thrill of racing – in a Nissan. Since 2015, Nissan Canada has celebrated that fact by organizing and celebrating the street-ready capabilities of our most modest models, beginning with the Micra Cup and continuing today with the Sentra Cup racing series.
Our first foray into road racing series, the Micra Cup was held in Eastern Canada over six weekends, with two rounds per meeting. Beloved for its compact and inexpensive nature, as well as its zippy and fun ability to tear around the track, the Nissan Micra was ultimately discontinued in 2020 – but not before leaving fans with an appreciation for what an entry-level Nissan was capable of.
The successor to the Micra Cup racing series, the Sentra Cup also takes place over six weekends. Hosted on tracks across Quebec and Ontario from May to September, each weekend is split up into four races: a 30-minute trial, a 30-minute qualifying session, and two 40-minute races. Stripped down and transformed into race-ready versions of themselves, each Sentra enters the track with nothing more than a 4-cylinder, 2.0L engine, and 149 HP under the hood. Building on the past
We’re reigniting the power of the drive with an all-new lineup that is built to thrill – which includes next-gen versions of models you know and love.
The 2023 Nissan® Z
A new expression of the power of Z
Twin-turbo V6 engine. Available 6-speed manual transmission. Iconic design. Everything we know, everything we love, and everything we live for, all in one letter.
Invented by Nissan, Synchro-Rev Matching technology automatically adjusts the throttle during downshifts and upshifts to deliver smoother gear changes, improved handling and tighter control.
Brand new to the Z, available launch control helps eliminate wheel spin and hop by holding the engine at a pre-set RPM. It also modulates power as you take off to ensure you get the fastest, most consistent acceleration every time.
Mechanical limited-slip differential
The new available mechanical limited-slip differential helps distribute power to whichever wheel has the best grip on the road, helping you power your way out of corners.
Available Sport Brakes feature 14″ front rotors with 4-piston calipers, which are calibrated to provide a braking experience that not only feels great but has impressive stopping power.
The 2022 Nissan® Frontier
A new Frontier
A legacy of dependability comes built in to the radically redesigned, next-generation Frontier. It comes standard with 310 horsepower, plus it has available 4-wheel drive and a chassis designed to tackle the toughest terrain.
3.8L V6 engine
Frontier’s 3.8-litre V6 churns out 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. And its direct injection not only offers a quicker response, but also a max towing capacity of up to 6,490 lbs. All that plus solid fuel efficiency: up to 13.7 L/100 km in the city, and 10.6 on the highway.
Intelligent Around View® Monitor with Off-Road Mode
Frontier’s built-in spotter gives you an eagle-eye view that’s meant to help you more easily steer around obstacles. With multiple exterior camera angles on your in-dash display, you’ll have no problem tackling rocky terrain and tight spaces like a pro.
Payload capacity and bed dimensions
For a midsize truck, Frontier hauls like a heavy duty. With a payload capacity of up to 1,430 lbs and bed dimensions that can stretch all the way up to 186.1 x 113 cm, you’ll have no problem carrying everything you need and then some.
Utili-track® Channel System
Frontier has a bed that’s built to last and secure your cargo with ease. The available spray-on bed liner protects against the weather, rust and heavy cargo, while the three available channels and cleats mean you can secure anything you put back there.
The 2022 Nissan® Pathfinder
The legend returns
From the backwoods to the ‘burbs, Pathfinder is back and better than ever. It’s powered by a 284 hp V6 engine, 9-speed automatic transmission, and features advanced tech like Intelligent 4×4, hi-def displays and wireless charging.
Engine and drivetrain
Pathfinder packs some impressive power thanks to its 284-horsepower, 3.5-litre V6 Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) engine. We’ve paired that with a new 9-speed automatic transmission to offer quicker response times and enhanced control while maximizing fuel efficiency.
Drive and Terrain Modes
Each of Pathfinder’s seven Drive and Terrain Modes were designed to overcome specific, disparate conditions, from snow and rain to sand, dirt and gravel. Among them, the standard Tow Mode with Downhill Speed Control is there to help you keep your trailer on the straight and narrow too.
Pathfinder’s Intelligent 4×4 features a new direct coupling system that offers enhanced traction and more precise and stable handling, which means you can enjoy a more responsive drive and less wheel slippage.
ProPILOT Assist™ with Navi-link
Take the stress out of driving. Pathfinder’s available ProPILOT Assist™ can automatically adjust your speed to match the flow of traffic and help keep you centred in your lane. Using precision mapping technology to read the road ahead, ProPILOT Assist™ can even adjust your set speed based on traffic signs. All that at the push of a button.
The 2022 Nissan® Armada
Take adventure with you
From family fun to big thrills, Armada was made to make memories. With room for up to eight and an adjustable cargo area, not to mention its 400 hp, 4×4 capabilities and incredible towing capacity, there’s no end to the kind of adventures you can have – on or off the road.
With standard leather-appointed seating for up to eight (not to mention available second-row captain’s chairs), your whole crew will feel like royalty every time they step inside.
Who needs a truck bed? Lower the second and third rows to make use of Armada’s 2,701.8 litres worth of cavernous cargo space.
5.6L V8 engine
Armada’s direct injection 5.6-litre Endurance® V8 engine with VVEL® puts out an aggressive 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, which means you’ll have no problem with rocky roads or heavy loads.
Armada boasts a maximum towing capacity of up to 8,500 lbs. That means you can bring the boat, the family, luggage and then some, and still feel like you’re driving on easy street.
